# scripts

> Reference for the scripts tool of Facecast: teleprompter scripts, with every action and what it does.

Source: https://facecast.geenius-os.tech/docs/reference/scripts/

Scripts written as # topics, - bullet points and plain full text. The person opens the prompt full-screen to read it, or opens the studio with the script to read it while recording.

Call it as `geenius_facecast(tool: "scripts", action: "<action>", args: {...})` through Geenius OS.

## Actions

| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| `create` | A new teleprompter script; answers with its appUrl, promptUrl and recordUrl. The title defaults to the first topic, mode is the mode it opens in, and wpm defaults to 140. |
| `delete` | Deletes a script for good; confirm must be the script's id. |
| `list` | The scripts, last changed first. |
| `read` | One script; with mode, also the teleprompter's lines in that mode. |
| `update` | Changes a script: any of title, body (replaces the text), append (adds text at the end), mode, wpm, font_size. |

> [!TIP]
> Ask for the exact arguments of any action with `action: "help", of: "create"`. The server answers from its own definitions, so that answer is always current.

> [!NOTE]
> The text format: `# A topic` is a heading, `- a point` is a bullet and plain lines are full text, read word for word. The person reads it as topics, bullets or full. Reading pace is 60 to 260 words per minute and the text size 20 to 120 px.
