What it does

Most recorders make you choose between reading and looking natural. Facecast puts the words where your eyes already are, and keeps the setup out of the way.
One text, three ways
Topics, bullets, or every word.
A script is one plain text. A line starting with # is a topic, a line starting with - is a point, and anything else is full text. Read it as topics when you know the subject, as bullets when you want a nudge, or word for word when it has to be exact. The pace is yours: 60 to 260 words per minute.

Layouts and background
Your face, where it belongs.
Four layouts, with a morph between them: camera, a face bubble over the content, side by side, and content only. The bubble comes in nine shapes and nine positions. The background can be blurred, removed or replaced by a colour, picture or video; the work is done on your machine.

Show the thing
Slides, a screen, and a pen.
Put your screen, a window, a tab, a website, a PDF, the scratchpad or a picture on stage next to your face, and draw on it with ink tools that have keys. Press S for a screenshot at a moment you want to find again.

Kept safe
Saved as you go.
Recording happens in your browser. A take is written to your browser's private storage while you record, so a crash does not lose it, and nothing is uploaded until you keep the take. You get an MP4 where your browser can record one, and WebM where it cannot.

What is Facecast?
A web app for recording yourself. You write a script, read it from a full-screen teleprompter over your camera or your screen, choose a layout and a background, and keep the take. Your own AI can write the script through Geenius OS. It is an app of Geenius OS and also works on its own.
Is there an AI in Facecast?
No. Facecast has no built-in AI: it does not write your words, change your face or make a voice. Your own AI, Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, can write a script and caption your screenshots through Geenius OS.
Is Facecast ready to use?
It is in early access: invite-only, with payments in test mode. The parts described on this site are built and in the app. We let people in a few at a time, so request access and we write when your place is ready.
Do I need Geenius OS?
No. Facecast is a standalone app with its own account and plans. A Geenius OS plan includes the matching Facecast plan, and you can sign in with that account. Some things, such as your AI writing scripts and saving to the Media library, work through Geenius OS.
Who makes Facecast?
AVS Media, a small company in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, as one of the apps of Geenius OS.
Is there a limit on recording?
No. Recording time and the number of takes are not limited on any plan. Plans count the recordings you keep: 200 on Pro, 400 on Premium and 1000 on Max.
