Troubleshooting
Fixes for common Facecast problems: no camera, the pop-out missing, a blank website on stage, a slow background, a recovered take, WebM instead of MP4.
The camera does not show#
Check the browser's permission for the site and that no other app is using the camera. Reload the studio.
The pop-out button is missing#
Document Picture-in-Picture needs Chrome or Edge.
A website on stage is blank#
Some sites refuse to be framed. Open it in a tab and share the tab instead.
The background is slow or ragged#
Try another engine, raise stability. The first use of an engine downloads its model, so the first try is slower.
My file is WebM#
Your browser cannot record MP4. Chrome and Safari versions differ, and the studio tells you which format it makes.
A take came back after a crash#
Facecast saved it to your browser's private storage as you recorded, and offers it on your next visit. Keep it or discard it.
I cannot share my screen on my phone#
Phone browsers do not offer it.
My AI cannot record#
That is by design. It writes the script and hands you a link.
