This walk-through takes about fifteen minutes. You will write a short script, record one take and keep it.

Before you begin#

Facecast is invite-only in early access. You need an account, which you get by requesting access and signing in once your place is ready. If you use Geenius OS you can sign in with that account. Use a current Chrome or Edge on a computer for everything, or any modern browser if you only need the camera and the teleprompter. See requirements.

1. Write a script#

Open Scripts and make a new one. Type a # topic line for each part, a few - points under it and, if you want, the sentences you will say. Write a script has the format. You can also ask your AI to write one through Geenius OS.

2. Open the studio#

Open the script and choose Record. The studio shows a live preview: what you see is what is recorded. Your browser asks for the camera and microphone. Allow them.

3. Choose a layout and a background#

Press 1 for the camera alone, 2 for your face in a bubble over content, 3 for side by side and 4 for content only. Open the Background group to blur or replace the room. See layouts and background.

4. Record#

Press Record. A countdown runs, and the teleprompter shows your text over the video. It is never recorded. Read at your pace. Press S for a screenshot of a moment you want to find again.

5. Stop and keep#

Press Stop. You can watch the take, rename it, download it, and keep it in Facecast. Nothing is uploaded before you keep it. Keep the take, then copy the chapters into a video description. See kept recordings.
